Grits are really important, ranging from 40 grit (rough) through to 1000 grit (really fine).
Its always best to start with a middle grit like 120g and then work up through the range.
you can go rougher then only if needed. The finer sanding marks you put in the easier it is to get a great finish, even if it seams slower at first.
Flatting paint and primers is some times necessary to achieve a smooth finish.
Check out our range of wet and dry paper sheets.
Grits from 120g through to 3000g. Its always best to start fine and go rougher if necessary.
